It’s not often @elisilvaphoto to publish more than one post  per week. But honestly, I couldn’t resist the temptation to share the wonderful details of our past event.

On Feb 26-28 Eli Silva Photography along with Studio Wed Atlanta participated in The Atlantan Brides bridal weekend at Phipps Plaza.

The Atlantan Brides and Simon Co. joined to bring brides the best Atlanta has to offer in weddings and events professionals. The luxury location was transformed into a magic wedding garden  filled with beautiful flowers, delightful cakes, wedding experts, amazing event design and everything a bride could need to plan her dream wedding.  Additionally, there were discussions panel , Q&A sessions, and wedding workshops to give brides-to-be detailed information on the latest trends and tips to help them plan their weddings.

I didn’t have the time to photograph all the wonderful vendor’s displays but here is a small sample of this great event.  If you missed the 3-day celebration here is your chance to explore style and sophistication

Something new every week! That’s a mindset @elisilvaphoto. Our loyal audience is growing and we are amazed with the large number of weekly readers and subscribers.

It can only mean ONE thing…innovation! We need to challenge ourselves, and our small team to present new things, eye-catching images and trends every week. It reveals more than our profession our passion!

What’s new this week? Everybody welcome “Indie Bride” our new blog category. It’s a space reserved for independent-mind brides and independent photo enhancing style. From a photography perspective this section is more loose and artistic than technical. This time our images were colorized and enhanced with a Retro Yellow and Green look that we named SUNNY SIDE UP. For those artist and photographers that follow us we’ve darkened the reds and greens by adding a last Selective Coloring layer.

These images were designed to give a vintage look and feel to our outdoor photos. They have slightly more green and yellow in the toning; which produces a 60’s-70’s retro style effect.

More about – Indie brides - If you see around, you will find destination weddings, DIY weddings and all kind of previously non-traditional weddings and I love it! Indie Brides love new and never settle for cookie cutter weddings. Their weddings are a truly reflection of a couple’s personalities and their desire to share their day with families and friends in any way they can dream up. So, for all those brides and grooms who want to make their day truly their own, we added a new type of wedding to the category menu— indie brides.

Indie, or independent, brides design weddings that utilize goods and services provided by independent designers, crafters, artists and artisans, as opposed to relying on mainstream wedding sources. The following images are an example of this new trend; combining Indie, with Vintage, as well as keeping important issues likes sustainability and eco. I’m excited about this new category!
